My intention is to provide a safe space for you to be heard and acknowledged as you are. I’m committed to guiding you as you explore current personal challenges, which may range from navigating relationships, coping with trauma, or experiencing a sense of dissatisfaction. Of knowing this isn’t it.
To better understand and heal what is occurring in your current situation, I’ll support you as we bring in, where relevant, past experiences, unconscious processes, early attachments and relational dynamics to heal old wounds and patterns which may still be influencing what is playing out in your present.
My depth-based approach is particularly helpful for those with anxiety, phobias, PTSD, stress, depression, shock, overwhelm and complex trauma.
I also practise body-centred psychotherapy, helping heal trauma which is located beyond the mind. Having practised mindfulness and yoga for over 20 years, I recognise the importance of combining the spiritual nature of our being with the psychological understanding of our selves.
My mindfulness approach means I place an emphasis on holding compassion for our natural responses to each other as humans, and allowing space for you to look at your internal process so that you can navigate your relationship with yourself and others with more kindness and curiosity.
As an expat, I am well versed with cross cultural work and complex transitions. I have clients in Hong Kong, the UK and across the globe, and can also create a safe space online if you prefer to have counselling sessions in your own home or overseas.
With nearly three decades of creating and influencing meaningful and lasting change in the fields of health and wellbeing, I am dedicated to supporting people improve their approach to mental health and work/life balance.
Having overseen the counselling, psychotherapy and clinical psychology, I am versed in supporting private practitioners as part of the mental health community, and promoting education and development. I am currently training in contemplative supervision and open to new supervisees.
I am a UK trained and registered Core Process Psychotherapist; a full member of the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists (ACPP); and a fully accredited member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) under the Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy division. I’m fully insured and licensed to practice in the UK, HK and globally.
